Article submission is another great way of gaining traffic. You can post your whole article in these services along with your backlink. Your content open for large visitor base. Many article submission services provide you tutorials for quality content and writing eye catching content.

Risk with this service is content stealing. In blog directories this risk is reduced as a few content of your post is unveiled to public. But Articles submission services directly show full article and risk is higher. When you submitting your articles to them Please consider about your rights. Some sites take the full control and copyright. Therefore others can steal your content and publish again legally. You can’t be able to take any legal action against them. Even the Creative commons license is no longer valid when you give permission. So please be careful with this.

[How to] Submit RSS feeds and Ping

In my previous article. I included about Feeds. But I am describing them because you may not familiar with them. You often see this icon in the end of Address bar of your browser or in the web sites it self.
What is feed? Feed is a service that updates your post content and summarize. Feed service creates a web page that includes this summarized content and creates a URL. When Users/Visitors subscribed to the feed, a direct Feed button creates in browser. Feeds update automatically showing off the title of the post when new content are available. When subscriber clicks this title, Browser redirects subscriber to the page. Feeds are kind of bookmarks. But Bookmark doesn’t have this updating feature. When someone bookmark your page. He will have to visit your page and search when the new content available. If there is the old content again and again. This visitor surely drops from your visitor base. Feed is a kind of reminder. Therefore providing subscribe to the feed is more effective than bookmarking.
By default blogger activate this feature for all blogs. But you may have mistakenly deactivated this feature. So check this before proceed.


Feeds are so effective that there are several feed management services. Feedburner is the best among all. I am not including how to manage the feed here. Please read my feed management lesson.

Blogs are kind of separated part of World Wide Web. The term Blogosphere means this part of internet. Present Blogs are going popular than websites because of visitor friendliness. Millions of blogs are available now and counting. Find the most suitable blog for the content is hardest ever now. Even the Google search engine provides separate blog search to overcome this. Blog directories came to solve this. Directory submissions directories are often known as Syndicators. When you submit your blog to them. They show your blog in particular section in the site. This mainly depends on the category of your content and votes your site got.
I included here a list of some Top Directory services. I have personally checked them. Most of then have More than Google Page Rank 5.Which means you have another great advantage to increase site traffic. Please include directories you know prior to this list in your comments. It will help other users.

Tags/keywords words which are describing the content of your blog. for example when I submitting my blog my keywords are Blogging, Blogger, Lessons, SEO

Description short description may be enough. Just include only the main target of your blog. Don’t include your Bio data.

Majority of them are asking you to put their site link, site image link or tracker code in your blog. Put them in one of footer column or sidebar column (you can see what I have did.)If you visit my earlier lesson on code customization. Sometimes they verify that you have included their URL in your site.

Search engine submission services

Doing a SEO service is now being a business in Internet. Many websites provides SEO services for some cost you all need to pay certain amount of money for this and they will do the tough stuff like submission to search engines and suggest you many tips. But they provide some basic services for free. But if you use them for free, don’t completely rely on them. Doing this manually is the most trustworthy thing.
Don’t give your personal email address, telephone numbers to these services. Your Email inbox will soonly filled with their promotional email and Advertisements. Use another email address for them. Here is the list. Read carefully with the offers before Sign up.

[How to] Add sitemap/site to Yahoo?

[How to]Submit site map to Bing/MSN ?

Submitting site and sitemaps to MSN/BING is same as Submitting sitemap to Google. You require Live ID email address (@hotmail.com, @live.com. @msn.com`…etc). However like Google webmaster Central. Bing also maintains their own web master Tool Box. Submitting sitemap to MSN/BING is just a single service in them. I just explained how to add a site map here and a complete tutorial to use Bing tool box is explained in Webmaster tools lesson   Series.

Login to  Bing tool box 

Select Webmaster tool

In your left hand side. you can see Submit site to Bing and Submit sitemap to Bing.

Submit your site to Bing
Enter your complete   blog URL  and fill the capcha puzzle. You have to wait up to 72 hours to see your site in the search results.

You don’t need Live ID to do this. Follow these easy steps
Copy and paste the entire URL below as a single URL into the address bar of your browser

Change yourblogname to actual blog name. For me yourblogname=technofixx
Press go or hit Enter in your keyboard

[How to] submit sitemap to Google?

Submitting your sitemap to worlds major search engine benefits you very much. every web master tries to contact with Google search engine because of this. if you do this rightly definitely  you will have numerous visitors soon. Submitting site map to Google is a single action in Google web master central there are several services arranged in web master central for SEO.I just provide how to submit sitemap to Google. As I said before read my lesson series on Web master tools to know how to make best use of Webmaster central.

You can use your Gmail ID to login to Google web master central. Google Webmaster Tools site

First you have to enter the URL of your blog/web site. Please use

format.

If this is the very first web site you are registering with the web master central

It prompts you to verify the URL you entered.

1st method is uploading a file to the directory root. But we can’t have the access to blogger root. Therefore use Meta tag method. You have to copy down the code generated

Open a new tab/window and  Log in to blogger bash board 

Design



Edit HTML

Find the following code (simply press Ctrl+F and paste the code)

Paste the copied code just after it

Press  save



Then Press the Verify in Webmaster Central.
You can add another URL of your own

After Entering a URL You can activate the other services for the URL you entered.(see the Google web master central lesson)

[How to] Submit site map?

Site map means the structure of links of the pages inside your blog. This helps search engines to crawl pages by pages and index. Within site map the whole blog is indexed. Not a single page.

Default sitemap for the blogger is in this format.

Or

http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml

If any submission service asking your sitemap you should provide one of above. please note that enter your blog name instead of yourblogname  .However major search engines provides many tools like submitting sites,submitting sitemaps…etc. you can perform this individual submissions at one place.Please visit my lesson series on Webmaster Tools.

If you need many people visit your blog and click your ads. You must give them your URL of your blog. You can’t give this individually. Search engines help us with this. When someone tries to search something, they use these search engines. Search engines crawls the whole web sites in internet and index them. When requested by someone. They show the page. 

Sometimes you may not need to submit your url to them. Just check this.

Note that the yourblogname must be changed to your actual blog name. Then hit search.

If the search results show your link. You may not require submission.

There are thousands of web search engines .But you need not to register your site with each of them. You must register with Search engine giants like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Even the AOL uses Google search results. Ask, use mostly MSN results. AltaVista uses Yahoos. Other minor search engines use mostly the results from these engines. However I included a full list of search engines you may interested in. please use http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/ format when submitting the URL.
